Today I have another short article with inspiration for you. It’s about a nice piece for the warmer autumn days. I made a lace t-shirt according to the t-shirt / sweatshirt pattern TO THE CITY, which is among my favorite pieces right now!
You can get pattern for this women’s t-shirt (or sweatshirt) in our online store:
Pattern – women’s t-shirt / sweatshirt TO THE CITY
If you want to know how to sew this pattern step by step, check out this article in which I described the sewing process in detail:
Sewing instructions for women’s t-shirt / sweatshirt TO THE CITY
There are two differences when sewing this t-shirt with lace fabric:
- I’ve used a firm edge of the fabric for the bottom hem, because the pattern of the fabric and its elasticity were oriented atypically along its length (which is the case with some elastic lace fabrics). You can use the cutting edge of your fabric in the same way if you want to. So the bottom hem is not finished with classic wide strip. I simply choose the length to suit my needs.
- Neck opening is finished with 3 cm wide knit strip. Unlike the classic hem from the knit strip (like most t-shirts have), or the hem I described in the last instructions: Sewing instructions for women’s t-shirt / sweatshirt TO THE CITY I’ve used bias strip to do the hem of the neck opening. You can find video instructions here:

It is not necessary to tell you more about this t-shirt, because I described everything in the last instructions.
If you have a moment, leave a comment about how you liked today's inspiration...
Have a nice day, Peťa
PS: When choosing lace fabric for this particular t-shirt, remember that it needs to be elastic.
